Senior Protection Associate
- The Senior Protection Associate reports to the Protection Officer or the Senior Protection Officer. The position may entail supervisory responsibilities for protection staff including community services, registration, resettlement and education depending on the structure of the Office.
- He/she monitors protection standards, operational procedures and practices in protection delivery in line with international standards and provides functional protection support to information management and programme staff.
- The Senior Protection Associate is expected to coordinate quality, timely and effective protection responses to the needs of populations of concern and identify opportunities to mainstream protection methodologies and integrate protection safeguards in operational responses in all sectors.
- He/she contributes to designing a comprehensive protection strategy and represents the Office externally on protection doctrine and policy as guided by the supervisor.
Technical Skills & Employment Officer
- Improving the performance of the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower and Migration, and other relevant Ministries including the Ministry of Youth and Ministry of Social Solidarity, as well as national partners, with a focus on implementing the recently developed National Action Plan for Youth Employment
- Through a competition, selecting three Governorates who will develop a regional action plan for youth employment and strengthening the performance of local partners in these Governorates to provide services necessary to promote youth employment
- Developing the capacity of training institutions to provide skills and learning experiences that can increase the likelihood of finding employment. Interventions include the development of modern apprenticeship systems for young people in the informal sector, the development and delivery of entrepreneurial skills packages in tourism, agriculture and manufacturing, specialized entrepreneurial capacity development for poor rural women and skills development and labour market integration for people with disabilities

Senior Policy Officer
- Manages or leads highly specialized or multi-disciplinary teams, and provides technical leadership in high-level policy analysis missions or projects, policy networks and/or international policy setting bodies
- Leads the work carried out by technical or policy officers from HQ or out-posted staff in the Decentralized Offices in relation to policy and governance work under FAO’s strategic framework
- Advocates strategic partnerships, best practices, and policy dialogue in support of enhanced policies and governance for food and nutrition security, sustainable agriculture and food systems
Administrative & Finance Assistant
- Strengthening the capacity of local public employment services, youth organizations, and enterprises to efficiently match skill supply and demand, allowing young people to find jobs and employers to retain badly needed workers
- Promoting enterprise development and self-employment through a promotional campaign, improved policy environment, and strengthened business services. The project will directly support the accompaniment of 500 new businesses launched through the project and at least 10000 young people will profit from improved business services.

- Review education proposals and monitor existing agreements with partners; in addition, work closely with the community to enhance quality and ownership across community-run education programs.
- Liaise and support partners in organizing teacher training.
- Perform specific administrative operational/control tasks for project/programme activities.
- Provide inputs for funding submissions, appeals and reports.
- Perform other duties as required
UNESCO Culture for Development Indicator Suite in Egypt Consultant
- Prepare a proposed detailed Plan of Action for the implementation of the project, on the basis of the project work plan provided by UNESCO.
- Become familiar with UNESCO CDIS manual and toolkit (to be provided by UNESCO), and support the conduction of consultations with national stakeholders, relevant technical partners and institutional stakeholders, civil society organizations, to identify available data within the national repository institutions
